As a former school trustee and vice-chair, a union executive member, and a longtime community advocate, I’ve spent years making tough decisions that balance people’s needs with fiscal responsibility. I’ve worked to ensure fair budgets, strong policies, and better support for workers, families, and educators—the same leadership I’ll bring to municipal council. From fighting for workers’ rights to shaping education policy, I know how to bring people together, listen to diverse perspectives, and take action that benefits the whole community.

Just like in education and labor, our municipality needs thoughtful, experienced leadership to guide us through challenges and opportunities. I am no stranger to politics, and I’m ready to hit the ground running. I understand how to navigate governance effectively to get things done. As a former School Trustee and currently the Coordinator for the Cowichan Community Action Team, I’ve sat and still sit at decision-making tables, ensuring fair, transparent governance and responsible budgeting. My years as a CUPE union executive and Treasurer gave me hands-on experience in managing budgets, negotiating agreements, and standing up for people—skills that are crucial for making smart, balanced decisions that benefit our whole community.

If elected, I promise to listen, take action, and work hard for the people of North Cowichan. I’m not part of a slate, which means I can vote independently and truly represent our community’s needs. I’ll fight for real solutions—tackling homelessness, increasing affordable and supportive housing, and working to lower taxes while keeping services strong. North Cowichan deserves leadership that listens and delivers. Let’s build a future that works for everyone!
